As an employer, we approach the protection of whistleblowers (individuals who report unethical or illegal activities, also known as whistleblowing) with the utmost responsibility. In compliance with Act No. 54/2019 Coll. on the Protection of Whistleblowers of Anti-Social Activities and other relevant legal regulations in the Slovak Republic, we ensure the protection of the rights and privacy of individuals who report anti-social activities within the employment relationship. As a whistleblower (a natural person submitting a report), the employer provides access to necessary information on its website, in addition to its identification and contact details, as outlined in the relevant sections.
In line with Act No. 54/2019 Coll., the employer has adopted appropriate technical, organizational, personnel, and security measures, which specifically include:
Protection Against Retaliation
Ensuring that no whistleblower is penalized for filing a report, with protection against any form of discrimination or punitive actions by the employer.
Confidentiality and Anonymity
The whistleblower's identity is protected and processed only to the extent necessary. If the whistleblower requests anonymity, the operator is obligated to honor this request.
Proportionality and Necessity of Measures
All measures are tailored to the nature, scope, context, and purpose of report processing, ensuring the minimization of access to data that is not essential for resolving the issue.
Security and Integrity of Reports
Ensuring that systems and processes for processing reports are protected from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction, including measures for restoring these systems in case of disruptions.
Training of Authorized Personnel
Ensuring that all personnel authorized to receive and process reports are trained and instructed in accordance with GDPR to ensure proper and lawful handling of whistleblowers and their reports.
Detection and Reporting of Violations
Implementing measures to promptly identify whether whistleblower rights have been violated and informing relevant authorities if such a violation occurs.
Ensuring Remediation
Introducing processes to correct or delete incorrect information, if such data is collected or processed, including enforcing other rights of whistleblowers under applicable legislation.
Risk Assessment
Conducting regular evaluations of risks associated with report processing, considering the origin, nature, likelihood, and severity of risks to implement the best practices for minimizing them.
These measures and principles are designed to protect whistleblowers and ensure that their reports are handled fairly, confidentially, and in accordance with the law.
